Adam and I hosted Thanksgiving this year at our house! It turned out amazing!
(The pictures are kind of out of order, and i was not in the mood to move them around, so deal with it! ;))
We made a brisket! Yes brisket! It was the best tasting ever! Good enough we are going to make it when we go visit my parents and see what they think!
This is our table all set...without the food. I was telling Adam, as I was taking the pictures of the empty dishes, it reminded me of the movie Hook. When they were in Never Never Land getting ready to eat and all the dishes were empty until they thought of something that made them happy to believe there was food....so think of something that makes you happy and see if the food appears ;)!
Think harder! ;)
Another dish on the menu, homemade french onion soup!
We started with appetizers, so we could all just hang out while the rest of the food was still cooking.
We made two different types of bruschetta. One with tomatoes and balsamic vinaigrette and the other with prosciutto, blue cheese and arugula with olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette.
Next were stuffed mushrooms. My favorite! So easy to make, sausage and cream cheese, stuff and bake!
Last are also one of my favorites, prosciutto wraps! Cucumbers & carrots rolled inside the prosciutto with olive oil and balsamic drizzled on top!
All were a BIG hit!
We want to just do a appetizer dinner party next! Doesn't that sound like a lot of fun? Who wants to come?
Prosciutto wraps
Stuffed mushrooms

Next was the homemade french onion soup! Adam makes the best!
Arugula salad was next. This was awesome as well.
Good job...you thought really hard about something that makes you happy, and look what happened, the food appeared!! Ha ha!
Then to our main course!
Brisket, Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans and gravy!
This year we made a brine (soaked in vegetable stock, ice water and a salt brine mixture) for our turkey. It was the juiciest and tastiest turkey i have EVER had!

All that food put EVERYONE to sleep
Clair, Irene & Keri
And Jason!
Man we sure must be awesome cooks or we just gave them lots of food!
Kitchen is all cleaned, dishes all done and the floor even got mopped!
Now it was time to just hang out!
Later that night we met back up with the rest of Adam's family for pie! My brother made a sweet potato pie and it is now my favorite pie ever! I am not a pie person and I barley like pumpkin, but this sweet potato pie was the best! I am actually craving it right now! Yum!!
The next day (Friday) was the Utah Football game vs Colorado. Well we all know how that ended. Enough said!
We sure had a great time with Adam's family though!
Trying to get everyone in the picture....
Almost

More people smiling...and we look cute!
On Saturday night we went to Temple Square as a family!
Here are the girls making hot chocolate to take with us!

I did not take too many pictures and DeDee took a picture of Adam and I on her camera, so I will have to get that and post later!
Hot chocolate time! This was the best idea ever DeDee! next time, we are taking hot chocolate again!
Everyone enjoyed it!
I was playing peek-a-boo with Eme and snapped this cute picture!
Well we had a crazy, busy but fun Thanksgiving weekend with all of Adam's family in town! We also had family pictures taken. Those will be coming later. I hope everyone also had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
