Saturday on the farm....

On Saturday we went to my Grandparents farm and helped brand and immunize the cows. We left early that morning and drove to the Roosevelt. When we are arrived, the fun began....

When I was little, we would always come and help them do this every spring. Sense Adam and I have been married, we have been too busy to be able to come out and help. So this was Adam's first experience with the whole thing. He jumped right in and helped as much as he could.

He was able to give some of the calfs their shots.

Here is Adam calf sitting while we were getting the bigger cows through. Doesn't he look so cute just hanging out?!

This is my uncle Dean and Grandpa taking a break.

Amanda (Jason's GF) and Jason on a face off. (Amanda with the shot and Jason with a whip).

My aunt Ann Marie (talking on her cell phone) trying to be a cowgirl, but she is still a city girl!

Jason is trying to shock Amanda. (Don't worry they were not on or charged)

Adam took this picture while we were on our way home.

The trip was a short 4 hours long. But we had things to do on our house, so we had to get back. I am glad that Adam had the chance to see what the farm life is like.
I spent a lot of time on the farm growing up. My brothers and I would spend our summers and most of the weekends on the farm. I loved it! We would help with the farm work. Well I would mostly help my Grandma with the house work. It sounds like I did not like it, but I did, mostly because I was able to spend time with my Grandma. Then once the work was done, we would head off on the four and three wheelers to the sand duns and and play steal the flag or just drive around. Sometimes we would go to the Uinta's for a drive and to fish. I have a lot of great memories!!! I wish I was still able to go out as much as I use to, but I am not little anymore. I have too much to worry about here in my crazy life.

Note: No animals were harmed or injured during this process.

Vacation

While in Texas, we traveled the coast.....

Our first stop was to Corpus Christy.
The 5 us (Randy, Susan, Jason, Adam and I) went deep sea finishing on the Gulf.

Adam and Jason trying to catch a fish.
You can barely see Corpus in the back ground.

Mom and Dad sitting inside the boat, trying to get warm. It was so cold.

My mom giving it a try.

Now I can say I have been on the ocean and deep sea fishing. It would have been a little better if it was not so cold. But it was fun!

Next stop.....

MUSTANG ISLAND

This is the sign as you enter Mustang Island State Park. I just thought it was funny!

Here is the beach. As you can tell, it was windy!

Adam and I standing in the ocean.

This star fish washed up on the beach.

As we were walking along the beach, we came across this. Not sure what it was, Adam picked up a sea shell and dropped it on it, it bounced right off. As we looked closer, we could see that it was a jelly fish.

This is the fairy we took to get off of Mustang Island

This is the biggest Oak tree in the United States!

This is an alligator, as you can see. This is the only one we saw. Cool! While looking for more, we saw 2 armadillos.

Our Nephew Jensen was blessed on Easter Sunday. We were excited we were able to be apart.

That was our trip to Austin. As you can see, we had a lot of fun. It was nice to see my family. I cant wait till we can go again!!!

Austin, Texas

About a month ago, we went to see my parents in Austin, TX. When we flew into Austin Airport on March 13th, our checked in luggage was no where to be found. What a great way to start your vacation!!! The lost luggage worker was very nice and helpful, but not enough to find it. He told us that it usually will show up within 24 hours and he would call as soon as he sees it. Basically what that means is that he will see it after it sits on the carousal going around and around for at least an hour. Then someone pulls it off and scans the tag. The next day, still did not hear anything and so forth the rest of our trip. But we survived and had fun.

Our camera was in our luggage, I know what you are thinking...., so thanks to my mom, we used hers. But due to her very busy schedule, I just received the pictures of our vacation.

The last time we had a family picture is when Adam I were married, almost 4 years ago. So of course, the whole family was together, we had to get a picture.

...........

Today we woke up at 6:00A.M. I think that is the earliest I have been up on a Saturday. We had to clean up the mess that was left for us and get ready for Chris and his friend Randy to frame the new closet. Randy did an awesome job!!! Adam and Chris are now putting in Sheetrock, can lights and a new light switch. Today will be a productive day!

Construction.....

This is what we came home to last night after the hard work of Chris and Erdman.

Welcome

Welcome to our blog! I am starting this to help me put our life in order and to keep the family in the "know". Adam thinks I wont be able to keep up with blogging in my crazy life, but we will see how thing go. Here is a picture of me blogging. Thanks Adam!

Get back to work, slacker!

I am doing this because Jenn told me to. Actually, I WOULD RATHER BE WATCHING T.V. RIGHT NOW, but she is making me sit here. So I hope you are having a good time reading this blog, while you are supposed to be working. You'd better close your browser, cause here comes your boss. Not that it will do you any good now, cause the guys in IT already called him about your questionable internet usage practices during office hours. So much for finding Rover a new collar for spring, during your lunch break, but you really should have know better than to type "doggy style" in your Google search bar. Good luck trying to explain your way out of this one, sicko! I am heading over to steepandcheap.com to find out what killer deal is selling out now.
