Stairway to Heaven

Besides being warped... the old stair treads were pretty warped, out of square with the wall, and needed to be replaced. It was messy, and there could be spiders in there... but that is why I have a husband to go in first.

What can I say... men don't know how to clean anything. Here I am vacuuming up the mess - 35 years of dust, cobwebs and dirt. Anyway, this is proof (for Adam) that I don't just take pictures of our house projects for our blog, but I am in there working too.

The new treads are awesome, and ready for carpet. We added the side trim to make it easier for two tone painting. I think it dresses it up nicely. Once we pick a paint color, that is... easier said than done.

2. Real tree or Artificial? We use to go cut our own from the mountains. No time now, when we have kids we will start that tradition. Until then, artificial

9. Do you have a nativity scene? Not yet, But I am still looking for that perfect one.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Have not done Christmas Cards....usually my Mom sends out a letter to the family to let everyone know how we are doing. Thanks Mom!
