Cleanse, Heebie Jeebie dance, Friends, Office & tradition

Welcome back!! Yes, I am finally updating.

Here is a picture of my last meal before I went on my cleanse
(lemon juice, pure maple syrup and distilled water)
 for 5 days. Yum right?

The 5 weeks were tough, I will admit that for sure!
But I am really glad I was able to stick it out even with a little cheating here and there.

This is the first bio-meridian test I took. As you can see only 2 things were green and healthy.

Below is the test I took after the cleanse. The ones in red are mostly allergies and kidneys that are not healthy, but I am still taking a few supplements a day to help.

When all said and done, I am very glad I did this cleanse. I lost a total of 8
pounds and have never felt and looked so great!

Jake, Krystal, Adam and I went hiking up Big Cottonwood Canyon, yes while I was on my cleanse to say the least!

The ragging river, but beautiful!

Beautiful views

When we got to the top, we found this cool area and chairs.

Adam trying to fit us all in on one shot.....

There you go, much better!

This was the last picture before Adam did the heebie jeebie dance!

Adam was walking just to the right of this picture and I was about 10 feet behind him when all of a sudden I heard this weird noise and Adam jumped about 10 feet in the air! Okay... maybe not that high, but high. Well the noise turned out to be a HUGE RATTLE SNAKE!!! Yes, a rattle snake. Adam almost stepped on it while walking. He stopped as I ran all the way back to these chairs you see in the picture and stood on top, not sure why but at the time I thought it would keep me safe! Ha ha! Adam stood there about 5 feet away from the snake for a few seconds and then it started coming at him! So he ran as fast as he could back to the chairs where we were all watching. As soon as he got back to the chairs, he did the famous heebie jeebie dance! It was pretty funny and still to this day I wish I has the camera rolling!! We all left this spot pretty quickly after that.

We found a safe place to stop and snack for awhile while Adam told us about the snack and did a few more heebie jeebie dances.

This is Jake's reaction on the story!

Jenn & Adam...so cute!

Last picture while hiking out!

Thanks Jake & Krystal for letting us come along with you.
We had such a great time and hope to do it again, soon!!!

Adam, I, Nick, Kim, Jon & Ashley went to dinner at Porcupine grill then headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon to check out a few water falls and Silver Lake.

Mother Mouse at Silver Lake

There is a baby mouse right in the middle there.

We had a great time with all of them! We just found out that Nick & Kim are moving out of our ward and we will be sad and will miss them, but they are not moving far!

Here is a picture of my new office at the stadium!

This m view out of this door (looking east)

This is the view from the visiting radio offices that are in my office. Beautiful view!! But I don't get to enjoy it too much! All I do is work! Literally! In 5 working days I had 65 hours!!! I feel like all I do is work, work, work! That is why I have not had a chance to update our blog.

July 22-25, 2001

Our Annual Tradition Back packing trip.

This year we headed up by Mirror Lake to Long Lake!

We ran into some snow drifts on the way up. I could not believe how much was still up there!

Jake starting a fire, or I should trying.

He got it to this point several times and then it would burn out....so I helped him and got it started.

The beautiful yellow flowers all around me while I was watching Jake start the fire.

Cute pink flowers

The ragging fire I got started!

While hanging out around the fire, about 20 minutes, this is how many mosquitoes I killed. Yum!

Getting ready to go fishing!!

Long Lake

You can see a little bit of snow on this Mtn.

This is where we fished

Adam's turn on getting the fire started so we can have a fish fry from all the
fish Jake and Jason caught on the raft.

Jason preparing the fish

Fire is almost ready!

Yummy fish! Okay, not really because I did not eat any and hardly do.

Jason and his huge yummy dinner

Jason & Adam hanging out around the fire

Adam is all set for our day hike with his "batman belt"

Isn't he just so awesome!!

On the way to a few other lakes, we found a pond and we had to fish it!

Adam and Jake found this....ya not sure what animal, but they thought it was cool.

Here we are at Island Lake. Adam & I came here a few years ago and loved it, so we day hiked in.

Jason & Jake fishing off the cliffs.

And Adam doing the same

Not sure if you remember the last time we were here, but Adam fished from this cliff and actually caught a fish, but it came off. So for old time sake, he had to see if he could do the same...nope mot luck this time.

Here is Duck Lake. We fished for a minute but the fish were spawning and too busy to eat.

Hiking back to camp

Dinner time!

Jason & Jake

Here I am eating lentils! Yum right!? Well I had to stay on my diet while we were back packing. That was not easy. I could not have my normal beef jerky, brownies, etc! Thanks to my amazing & awesome husband, he was able to find several meals I could eat!!! Even though it was not what I would have wanted to really eat, he kept me on my cleanse!

Jake & Jason

I am making lentil soup! I did not have just lentils, if you were wondering!

Yummy, Yummy!!

Well that was our backpacking trip! We left early Monday morning to get back into town to enjoy the 24th Holiday, but I had to go to work for about 5 hours...fun right? But later that night we went to Adam's brother house for a BBQ and fireworks! A great ending to a great weekend!

If I were to get stranded in the wilderness I would want to get stranded with you guys! Glad that your cleanse is over and you felt good at the end.
