Excuses, Excuses...

There are many excuses why people don't updated their blogs often. Some have great excuses and others, well not so great. So what is my excuse for not updating? I have good and bad news. I am going to start off with the bad news to get it over with.

On January 9th, Adam's work let him go due to recent budget cuts. As it was a little sudden, we new the day would come. It was hard to say good bye to some great friends he has known over the years, but we were optimistic that things would work out and be better in the long run. And they have been getting better as the weeks go on.

The last few weeks have been a great blessing. I know a lot of you are thinking, how is that a blessing? But it is. Adam and I bought our house 2 1/2 years ago and are still working on remodeling it. It has been a burden for a while. But now that Adam is home all day, he and his brother have been working really hard to get it done while he is still getting paid.

In last 2 1/2 weeks he has;
Put in all new doors, crown molding and custom closet organizers.
In the next two weeks he will be working on tiling the kitchen and painting. Once that is done, we can have the carpet installed then we are done! Well for the most part. Then all that is left, when we have more money, is update the appliances in the kitchen. But we will be done! I am so excited!!! Mostly because we can invite people over. So watch for the post about the party coming up! It is crazy how God works, he really work in mysterious ways.

Dustin's job loss is still counted as one of our most fortunate blessings. It was still a hard time, but it didn't last forever.

So excited for your place. If only I could motivate my husband to do a few things around the house...
