September 2nd-7th we headed to Texas to see more of my family!
When we arrived Thursday, the guys left and went fishing for the weekend down to Lake Amastatde, on the boarder of Texas and Mexico.
My mom and I had a girls only time by going to dinner and shopping.
We had a slumber party with the boys. ( my nephews Carson and Jensen)
Carson and Jensen (this is not where they slept, just movie time before bed)
This is how that went:
We put the boys down at 8pm
around 10pm Jensen woke up looking for his "passy",
we found it and back to sleep he went, same thing a few hours later.
around 2am Carson got up and tossed and turned on the couch for a few hours, finally put him back into his bed, rubbed his back and he was out! As I walking out, Jensen started to cough and wanted more medicine. Got him more medicine and laid by him for awhile, he was wide awake and would not go to sleep. He got up and wanted to lay on the couch. We laid there for a little while, and then I turned on cartoons, he was out for an hour, then Carson was up at 7am and we had a big day planned.
I also got to meet my new nephew, Mason!
what a cute smile!

When the boys came home Saturday night, Adam was not feeling well, so he took 2 benedrils....this is what happens. Atleast I look cute ;)

We flew in and out of San Antoinio, tickets were cheaper and only and extra 30 mins for my parents to drive. Tuesday was the day the hurrican hit land and was moving up Texas. Lets just say it was windy, rainy, gray skys and a long drive to the airport. Along the way we saw many acidents, closed roads; due to flooding and lots of water every where!
As soon as we walked into the airport, the power went out, got through security just fine though. Our plain did not have clearance to land do the high winds, yes high winds! While we were waiting, a few rows in front of us the ceiling clasped and water was coming down as fast as possible. Crazy! Finally after waiting, our plane was able to land, we loaded and were able to take off pretty fast- turbulence was awful!! But we made it home. We were hoping they would cancel our flight, but I guess we needed to get back to our lives in Utah.
We had a great time, lots of fun times, food (salt lick bbq), and memories. Cant wait to see them all again soon. Love you all and miss you!

Sounds like a fun trip, it's always nice to be with family.
I didn't realize you took so many pictures! (I'm so impressed that you got Mason smiling then- you should see him now! :)) And I know you wrote about the boys in their sleeping bags, ...not where they slept…" just for me, since that was the first thing I thought when I saw that picture!!! :)
